We have two dogs each one as a birthday present for each of my two children (see Picture 1). We adopted the small dog (buck) when he was three years old (21 dog years) in 1999. He was a happy, active & relatively healthy dog until in 2007 that his teeth started to bother him. My husband bought him a wellness plan with Banfield and buck received two major surgeries in a row from Sept to Oct in 2008 (one deep teeth cleaning & one tooth extraction with full anesthesia for both – see Picture 2).  He was also given an extra vaccine that was included in the wellness plan not long after the procedures.

This sequence of stressful events seemed to have played a detrimental role to his immune system. His health went downhill rapidly. He became very ill in December to a point that he did not even want to be walked (which was always his most favorite thing of the day). I took him to the vet and was horrified to learn that Buck had Anemia, an Autoimmune disease that his body was attacking its own immune system and his blood count was dangerously low (see exam report – picture 3).

 He needed to go to an emergency clinic that night to get blood transfusion (Picture 4) or he would die of low blood count. I was basically given two choices 1) go to emergency clinic immediately to get him a blood transfusion for $5000 with no guarantee that he would live, 2) put him to sleep next day rather than see him dying and the receptionist had explained to  me different funeral options (Picture 5). I was so saddened with disbelief while driving him home thinking about how I could break this horrible news to my children. We had a sad evening that night together and my kids were kissing him good bye before bed time since they still have to go to school next morning.  Right before my daughter went upstairs she turned around with tears in her eyes and asked me to save his collar for memory.

Even though I was sad, but deep in my heart I was not ready to give him up.   I decided not to put him to sleep but rather started him on our strongest antioxidants to restore his immune system.  I mixed PetHealth OPC-3 with plainly cooked chicken breast pieces and rice moist with unsweetened soy milk. He started eating and finished all of the food in the bowl for the first time in a week. The rest is history. He is now a happy & energetic dog again (see his exam results – picture 6 in 2010 – almost two years after he was pronounced to die – he is now officially pronounced healthy – see Picture 7).  Thanks to PetHealth products that our family is happy again.  The picture 8 shows all the supplements both of my dogs are currently taking:

Also my big dog Blueberry had a surgery to remove a tumor grown on her right upper foreleg. She kept leaking the suture and scratch against bushes. Her incision had a hard time to heal and the suture had to be redone. I finally dressed her up to protect the wound and she was given a stronger collar to wear by the vet (Picture 9).  I started applying ClearShield cream several times daily to help fend against infection while giving her all the supplements shown in Picture 8 every day with her medication.  She recovered well and is now a happy dog (Picture 10).

Hi my name is Sarah Babcock and I would like to tell you the story behind the pictures
you are about to see and why I love OPC-3.

My family consists of myself, my husband Donald, my 6-year-old daughter Alida and my 13 month old son Dax. We were introduced to OPC-3 two or three years ago. At the time I didn’t really understand what it could be used for or how it works and had a lot of other, seemingly separate, issues to deal with.

One of these problems was that Alida was born with a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. She had to endure a total of nine surgeries in the first 5 years of her life. We were totally dependent upon the doctors and our faith to keep her here with us.

The second problem began in August of 2005. This is when Alida was diagnosed with psoriasis, adding more doctors to the list and our lives. This time was different though. No doctor that we have met to this day knows the cause of psoriasis. Alida was given many different prescriptions over the winter and they seemed to help her skin clear up some. One of the doctors told me it would be two or more months until we saw any improvement with the medication when she was at her worst. This was not good enough for me. I wanted to see that her skin was improving at least a little every day when she woke up in the morning.

Even with all the medicine, Alida’s skin condition worsened considerably by June of 2006. She no longer had small red spots on her body; her skin was quickly turning dark, bright red completely! Within an hour of getting dressed in the morning she had spots of blood on her shirt from the broken skin. She had large flakes of skin falling off all over her bed, my living room and anywhere else she went.

When we went anywhere public there was always someone who would cringe when they saw her, or ask if she had something contagious, or want to know what she had all over her. To me this was heart breaking.

I started to look online to find out what might be the cause of her psoriasis and found that it could be caused by an overload of toxins in her blood. In this scenario, after her other organs were unable to release the toxins from her body, her skin was the only organ left to rid her body of toxins left from past and present medication prescribed for both of her conditions. I took suggestions of changing her diet to the most natural foods possible. As you can see in the first set of pictures I took around July 15, 2006 her skin was really bad. My mother-in-law suggested that I start giving her the OPC-3. I had already had it okayed by the cardiologist, so I figured that it might help to try it.

I started Alida on the OPC-3 in the middle of July 2006 and started to see slow improvements. This was just what I needed. She was only on half doses, but I was just so relieved and happy to see that something was finally working. I took her off the prescriptions for her skin by the end of the month and saw so much improvement in August.

This brings us to the second set of pictures, which were taken the first week of September 2006. She still has some of the spots, but is no longer bloody or fire red from head to toe. I will never allow myself to run out of OPC-3 because I never want to see my baby girl’s body and face taken over by the psoriasis monster again. She hasn’t cleared up 100% yet, but every week she is on OPC-3. I see an improvement and feel so blessed that she is with us and that we were introduced to OPC-3 to help with her psoriasis.

P.S. Alida had to stop taking OPC-3 on September 27th to prepare for surgery the following week. Within two days spots started to reappear. Once her surgery was over she started the OPC-3 again and the spots have started to disappear again.

OPC-3 helps Arthritis & Nerve Damage symptoms

When then subject of my being arthritic comes up in conversation, the reaction from others is usually one of disbelief. After all, they see an apparently healthy woman in her early forties with no visible signs of disability. I then explain that I have experienced a number of injuries resulting in 9 (nine) orthopedic surgeries.

Injuries and surgeries that are orthopedic in nature cause a change in the chemical balance of the area producing inflammations that become arthritis. Thus, I think it is safe to say, I know what arthritis is.

In addition to the arthritis, I have also experienced severe nerve damage in both arms resulting from an automobile accident I was involved in. I had two surgeries performed on my right arm in an attempt to increase the nerve conduction. The first was to have been a carpal tunnel release, however, the doctors found an abnormal nerve structure and wound up performing major reconstructive surgery on my hand as well. The second was an ulnar nerve transposition wherein they moved the ulnar nerve from it’s exposed position in my elbow to where it should have been. As the relief I experienced from these two major surgeries was minimal at best, I refused to have the surgeries on my left arm.

Over the following four years I just learned to live with the pain and limitations on my activities. For you to truly comprehend the extent of those limitations, let me give you a couple of examples of what I would experience: I could only manage to write approximately two or three lines before my hand would cramp and I would involuntarily drop the pen. Typing was nearly impossible because I could only get through about one or two minutes before I would experience shooting pains, not just up my fingers, but through my hands and all the way up my arms. I began purchasing every ergonomic anything I could (including a battery operated flour shifter) to help me lead as “normal” an existence as possible.

In February I started taking OPC-3^™. To tell the truth, I expected that at best I would probably experience only minimal relief from the arthritis, if anything at all. I never expected what ultimately did happen. Almost immediately, I noticed that joint pain began to diminish. Note – that I never took a saturation dose. From the beginning I only took one capful per day (although this is not the recommended approach). Approximately four months later I was walking up a flight of stairs on a very cold, wet and miserable day. The pain in my right knee (the one that has had four surgeries) was excruciating. But, I realized that I had not experienced the pain since I started taking OPC’s. As far as I was concerned, it proved to me that OPC-3^™ worked! A month or two later I began to notice that no matter how long I typed on a computer, I was no longer experiencing the shooting pains.

I found that as I wrote, I rarely had to stop and massage my fingers. It suddenly dawned on me that if OPC-3^™ can help nerve disorders such as restless leg syndrome, then that must be what was helping me, not just with regard to the arthritis, but nerve damage as well.

I am truly grateful for OPC-3^™ and the restoration of a normal lifestyle. I have become a firm believer in the saying, “OPC-3^™ is a product for life”.

Reduce Enlarge Prostate Gland with OPC-3 & MPC

I have had a history of enlarged prostate, and on October 20th my doctor had me take a blood test which I have been taking every year since I first learned they could detect the possibility of prostate cancer with the PSA reading in the test. I had lots of problems urinating, getting up six to eight times per night was very aggravating. My PSA turned out to be 13.6.

Sometime around the 10th of October I started taking OPC -3 and I felt I could tell it was helping me by the time I saw the doctor on the 20th. When I told him I was taking OPC -3 he told me he didn’t have much confidence in this helping me. Then he told me they had a new medication out to help with urination so he gave me a free 21 day sample pack of HYTRIN.

Today, January 23rd, the first question he asked was how the HYTRIN worked, which was a very simple question so I gave him my simple answer which was, I didn’t take it. I then continued on to tell him that I decided to continue on with OPC -3 since it seemed to be helping. When I saw him in October my PSA reading was 13.6, on January 23rd my reading was 11.9 which was a good change from October but still high. In July my PSA reading had dropped to 10. I am only getting up one or two times a night and there were three nights I didn’t get up at all. I will soon be 73 years old and had this problem for my years, and I think getting the PSA reading down that much in three months is showing very good results. Thanks to OPC -3 I think it will be still better in the next blood test which is scheduled in six months.
